Filtration Corporation of America was founded in 1976 by Gordon J. Tompkinson Sr. Gordon Sr. began his career as a representative for Velcon Filters in San Jose, California. After founding FCA, he continued as a distributor for Velcon as he built strong relationships with other leading manufacturers related to the aviation industry to earn their distributorship. Gordon Sr. kept FCA in the family and is operated today by his two sons, Gordon and Brian Tompkinson.
Over the years, FCA has consistently been complimented on the way we have listened to our customers’ needs and helped them through projects such as researching and acquiring parts to repair filter housings, control valves, or fueling nozzles. Our focus on customer service, having stock on hand, and years of knowledge have been something people have counted on for generations.
With that reputation built on long-standing relationships with our customers, FCA’s services have been able to support operations from county to major international airports and fuel storage terminals. In addition, the equipment we sell meets current industry standards set forth by the Energy Institute for aviation fuels filtration equipment. We currently maintain a warehouse in the Chicago area with extensive inventory ready for shipment.
